Privacy notice
What this site does with your information, in plain English. [DRAFT — not for launch]
Effective date: [EFFECTIVE DATE]
This site is run by Big Whale Analytics Corp. ("Big Whale Analytics", "I"), a one-person consultancy. Questions about this notice: hello@bigwhaleanalytics.com.
What this site does not do
The site does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and does not set cookies of its own. The only scripts are a small mobile menu toggle and the home-page animation, both running in your browser. The fonts are served from this site itself, so no third party receives a request when a page loads.
Contact form
If you use the form on the contact page, I receive what you type: your name, company (optional), email, project type, current stack, timeline and brief. The form is handled by Web3Forms, a form-processing service, which receives your submission, stores it and emails it to me. It also records technical details such as your IP address, browser type and the time, and uses spam-prevention services to check submissions. Its servers may be outside your country. See Web3Forms' privacy policy.
I use what you send only to reply to you and to scope possible work. I keep form enquiries for [RETENTION PERIOD]. Web3Forms may keep its own copy for up to the period set in my account there, [RETENTION PERIOD — Web3Forms dashboard setting].
If you email hello@bigwhaleanalytics.com, the message is received through Cloudflare Email Routing and forwarded to my inbox, which is hosted by [CONFIRM INBOX PROVIDER]. I keep correspondence for [RETENTION PERIOD].
Booking a call
[PENDING — Cal.com is not live yet. Once it is, confirm and describe: the details you enter when booking, calendar and video-call data, and Cal.com's role as processor.] Until then, booking is by email.
Hosting
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and request details to deliver pages and protect the site, and keeps server logs. I do not use those logs to identify visitors. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Sharing
I do not sell your information. It goes only to the providers named above, which handle it on my behalf, or where I am legally required to share it.
Your choices
To ask what I hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted, email hello@bigwhaleanalytics.com. [CONFIRM: any additional rights or contact details to state]
Changes
If this notice changes, the effective date above will change with it.
